Bespoke Fishing Clothing from Halkon Hunt
Halkon Hunt has a long-standing reputation for producing the finest specialist angling clothing, and this new range combines that expertise with bespoke Guru and Mainline Match designs.
At the heart of the collection are three GORE-TEX® waterproof garments: the Pole Jacket, Bib & Braces and Over Trousers. These are complemented by the WINDSTOPPER® range, including the Softshell Jacket, Softshell Sweater and Softshell Bottoms.

GORE-TEX® Waterproof Fishing Clothing
When you’re fishing through persistent rain, strong winds or miserable weather, having the right waterproof clothing can make the difference between a comfortable session and one where you’re counting down the minutes until you can pack away.
The GORE-TEX® Pole Jacket, Bib & Brace and Over Trousers have been developed using two different weights of 3-layer GORE-TEX® fabric, carefully selected to balance durability, protection, function and comfort across the range.
Each garment also features the latest GORE-TEX® ePE membrane technology, delivering the waterproof, windproof and breathable performance you’d expect from GORE-TEX®, while keeping you protected when the weather takes a turn for the worse.

GORE-TEX® Pole Jacket
The GORE-TEX® Pole Jacket is the most crucial part of the Halkon Hunt waterproof system – the primary outer layer designed to provide serious protection when you’re fishing in demanding conditions. Developed specifically around the needs of anglers, it combines advanced GORE-TEX® technology with a host of practical features designed for life on the bank.
The jacket uses two different weights of 3-layer GORE-TEX® fabric to deliver protection where you need it most, without compromising comfort or mobility.
A tougher-weight 3-layer fabric is used across the shoulders and upper back for increased durability, while an additional high-durability layer on the forearms helps protect against wear in these high-contact areas.
At the front, a premium YKK® zip is protected by a hook-and-loop-secured storm flap, helping keep wind and rain out. The higher collar provides additional protection around the face, while the elasticated waist helps seal out cold air and keep the elements at bay.
The cuffs feature neoprene construction with hook-and-loop adjusters, allowing you to tighten them securely around the wrists for a comfortable, weather-resistant fit.
The five-panel hood is made from a rigid fabric for added structure and can be detached when not needed. Hood toggles, a rear adjuster, and a built-in cap peak locator within the hood rim let you fine-tune the fit and keep the hood secure when conditions turn nasty.
Storage is provided by two YKK® zipped pockets with storm flaps, alongside two open hand-warmer pockets for quick and easy access.
In short, this is the foundation of the Halkon Hunt waterproof set-up – a serious fishing jacket engineered around the practical demands of anglers and built to keep you protected when the weather is doing its worst.
GORE-TEX® Bib & Brace
The GORE-TEX® Bib & Brace uses the same two-weight, 3-layer GORE-TEX® construction, with the new ePE membrane providing waterproof and breathable protection.
However, the fabric construction changes depending on where the garment is most likely to experience wear.
The seating area and forelegs are double-layered, providing additional protection when you’re on your knees using equipment such as a pole or landing net. The thigh area is also reinforced for increased durability, while lighter GORE-TEX® 3-layer fabric is used elsewhere to improve breathability and comfort.
The Bib & Brace is available in two leg lengths: 31–32" and 28–29".
The hems have also been carefully designed for fishing. They’re curved higher at the back to help prevent you from standing on the rear of the trouser hems and damaging the garment, while remaining lower at the front and ankle to provide additional coverage over your footwear.
A two-way YKK® zip runs down the front and is protected by a hook-and-loop-secured storm flap. Two pockets feature YKK® water-resistant zips, while hook-and-loop adjustable ankles make it easier to get the Bib & Brace over your boots.
GORE-TEX® Over Trousers
The GORE-TEX® Over Trousers provide another option for anglers who want serious waterproof protection over their existing fishing clothing.
The knee and seat areas are reinforced for extra protection in extreme conditions and to help extend the garment's life. The leg is also cut higher in the pole and landing net abrasion area, helping protect the trousers where they’re likely to wear most.
The hems are deliberately cut higher at the back and lower at the front. This helps prevent you from walking on the rear of the trouser hems and damaging them, while providing additional coverage at the front.
Hook-and-loop ankle fastenings help prevent the trousers from getting caught under your feet, reducing the chance of accidents and unnecessary damage to the garment.
An elasticated waistband and belt create a snugger and more comfortable fit, while the raised back helps prevent the trousers from riding down while you’re fishing.
Also, you’ll notice there are no pockets on the Over Trousers. That’s intentional. Areas around pockets can provide routes for water to reach your underclothing, so we’ve kept the design pocket-free to maximise protection from the elements.
The GORE-TEX® Over Trousers have a 28,000 mm waterproof rating, giving you serious protection and dryness in wet weather.
WINDSTOPPER® Warm Fishing Clothing
Not every cold day calls for full waterproofs. Sometimes it’s the wind and dropping temperatures that make the difference between staying comfortable and reaching for another layer.
That’s where the WINDSTOPPER® Products by GORE-TEX LABS® range comes in. Designed to provide warmth, wind protection and breathability, the Softshell Jacket, Softshell Sweater and Softshell Bottoms can be worn individually or combined with the GORE-TEX® waterproof range to create a complete cold-weather layering system.
WINDSTOPPER® Softshell Jacket
The WINDSTOPPER® Softshell Jacket combines warmth, wind protection and breathability in a versatile layer designed for colder days on the bank.
A thick fleece inner provides additional warmth and comfort, while the high collar helps keep cold winds out. The adjustable hood provides further protection when conditions deteriorate, and three zipped outer pockets offer secure storage for essential items.
A shower-resistant outer finish provides protection from unexpected drizzle, while reinforced elbow patches add durability in one of the areas most likely to experience wear.
Using the latest ePE fabric technology, the jacket is completely windproof while remaining breathable, making it an ideal outer layer for chilly autumn sessions and an effective mid-layer when winter really sets in.
WINDSTOPPER® Softshell Sweater
The WINDSTOPPER® Softshell Sweater is a highly versatile piece, designed to be worn on its own or under your GORE-TEX® waterproofs when you need extra warmth.
The smooth knit outer fabric is abrasion-resistant and treated to resist light drizzle, while the high-loft fleece backing provides excellent thermal insulation, helping to retain warmth without compromising comfort.
Completely windproof and breathable, it’s the ideal layer for keeping the cold at bay. A large front hand-warmer pocket provides a useful place to keep your hands warm and essential items close at hand while fishing.
WINDSTOPPER® Softshell Bottoms
For anglers looking to add an extra layer of warmth to their winter set-up, the WINDSTOPPER® Softshell Bottoms are designed to be worn underneath the GORE-TEX® Bib & Brace or Over Trousers.
They use the same smooth, abrasion-resistant knit face fabric with a finish designed to resist drizzle, while the high-loft fleece backing provides excellent thermal insulation to help keep your legs warm and protected from the wind.
Available exclusively in black, the Softshell Bottoms feature two zipped pockets for storage, plus an elasticated waistband and drawcord for a comfortable, adjustable fit. They can be worn beneath your waterproofs when conditions demand it or on their own when you simply need an extra layer of warmth.
